A meaningful estimate needs your layout and scope, not just the property type. Hacking, existing conditions, the amount of carpentry, finishes and electrical or plumbing changes can affect the work required. Tell the designer your budget and priorities so the consultation can explore a suitable scope. The project photos on this page are references, not priced packages or a promise of what your renovation will cost.

Compare the same scope across each quotation. Ask for quantities, dimensions, materials, finishes and clear inclusions and exclusions. Check whether taxes, disposal, delivery, installation and any required approvals are included. Ask how additional work will be priced, and confirm the payment schedule, timeline and warranty terms in writing before signing.

Ask which board, laminate, adhesive and finish are proposed. For any low emission claim, ask for the named product, relevant test standard and supporting test report, and check that the report applies to the specified material. Do not assume a project photo, a label or a claim about one board proves the air quality of a completed home. Discuss ventilation and material choices with your designer.

No. There is a chance to upgrade for free to low emission formaldehyde carpentry when you sign up for a renovation package. Eligibility, the materials and the upgrade details are confirmed during your designer consultation. Submitting an enquiry does not automatically qualify you for the upgrade.
